**Grand Valley Golf & Country Club – Honest Review for the Everyday Golfer**

If you're looking for a no-fuss, great-value round of golf in the Cambridge area, **Grand Valley Golf & Country Club**  is a spot on your list. We purchased an Underpar package for two players, 18 holes and a hot dog at the turn for $70+HST. It’s a down-to-earth course with just the right balance of challenge and accessibility, especially for newer players or anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere.

### First Impressions & Practice Area

We arrived early, eager to loosen up and get some swings in before our round. To our slight disappointment, there’s no driving range on-site—so if you’re someone who likes to hit a bucket before teeing off, you’ll have to do your warm-up the old-fashioned way. That said, the **chipping and putting area** was well-maintained and enough to dial in the short game before the first tee.

### Course Conditions & Layout

Grand Valley is a **great beginner-friendly course**, but don’t confuse that with “easy.” While the layout is mostly straight and forgiving off the tee, the **fairways are tighter and more demanding** than they look. The **roughs are no joke either**—you'll pay the price if you miss your spots.

The biggest standout was the **quality of the greens**. They were in great shape, rolled true, and were clearly being cared for. In fact, everything about the course's condition reflected that **the new ownership is putting in work**. We were paired with a local regular who mentioned the course has steadily improved over time and "keeps getting better every visit."

### Staff & Value

Where Grand Valley really shines is its **affordability and customer service**. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful—no robotic check-ins or grumpy marshals here. You could tell they actually cared that you were enjoying your day on the course.

And the **price point? Hard to beat**. For what you get in terms of course quality, upkeep, and atmosphere, Grand Valley is punching above its weight.

### Final Verdict

This is the kind of place that earns a following—not with flash or fancy extras, but with solid golf, good vibes, and noticeable improvements. Perfect for casual golfers, high handicappers, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun round without breaking the bank.

Would we come back? Absolutely. Just don’t forget to stretch before the round—because without a driving range, your first tee shot *is* your warm-up!
